Golf swing analysis

Alex-DiDonato | Asked  over a year ago | Last response was 9 months ago
I need a camcorder (or digital camera) for recording and playing back a golf swing for some instant feedback. It would be tripod mounted and used outside. Large screen, easy controls, slow-motion playback and frame step options.

Which camera do you recommend for Alex-DiDonato?

Casio EX-FH100 - $869
10 MP|10x f/3.2|1/2" CMOS|3" LCD
Casio ZR100
12 MP|12.5x f/3.0|1/2.5" CMOS|3" LCD

There is a Casio camera for your needs, a truly golf camera.

      http://www.casio-intl.com/asia-mea/en/dc/ex_fc200s/

    Check the information here.

    Specs:

    1.  3-Line Display for an Effective Swing Analysis:

The lines displayed onscreen allow you to effectively analyze every position in your   swing—address, top of back-swing, impact, etc. As it's the BEST SHOT function, it's easy to set up by just selecting a scene.

    2.  Slow Motion Capable 1,000 fps Max High Speed Movie:

Allows you to check video footage for things you never could see before, even your club face direction. During playback you can switch to normal speed, so you can quickly check your movies.

    3.  High Speed CS up to 30 Frames/Sec.*:

Allows you to shoot so rapidly it becomes a stream, the continuous movement of your swing, which no camera could shoot before. You can avoid missing a shot of a specific moment by using Prerecord CS, which allows you to record images before you press the shutter. *Can take a maximum of 30 frames.

     4.  Prerecord CS:

It records images from about 0.8 seconds before you press the shutter (with Continuous Shutter (CS) speed at 30 fps, Prerecord CS is 25 frames).

    5.  Backlighting and capturing moving subjects are a snap. Premium Auto:

With Premium Auto, all you do is point the camera at the subject and it automatically analyzes the shooting environment, makes appropriate shooting settings and processes the image.

    6.  Editing a Movie on the Camera:

The Movie Editing function allows you to cut off parts of movies you've taken while still in the camera.

    7.  Printing a Proof Sheet of CS Images:

With CS Multi Print, you can print out a group of CS images all together on one page.

    8.  Perfect Shot Back up time and select just the shot you wanted from among the five taken

Despite the disconnect between the moment you realize that's the shot you want and actually pressing the shutter and taking the pic, Perfect Shot lets you back up time for five frames and select from among them, leaving you an image close to the moment you wanted to catch.

    9.  28 mm Wide Angle Lens for Wide Shots*

With a wide angle lens, you can stretch out your shots nice and wide, even in places so narrow you can't take a step back.*Converted to 35 mm film format.

    10. Blurred Background / Wide Shot

The FC200S uses high-speed burst-shooting technologies to conduct Blurred Background processing, enabling you to take photos that show the subject in sharp relief, as with an SLR camera.

There are a lot more functions. There are just for the Golf features.

Check at the Casio link above.
