I'd recommend Panasonic LX5 for indoor shots because it has a larger sensor, a faster lens, and will get much better quality photos in low light.
However, it has limited zoom. If you think you might need zoom, say for taking pictures of wildlife, or people playing sports, then the 16x zoom of the Sony will come in handy.
