im pretty much a beginner i guess, been taking photos for a long time in my spare time and ive done a few weddings for friends and family but i want to move on to doing some event photography in festivals and in nightclubs, i want a camera that can be set up to handle all kinds of lighting/lasers and noise levels, i've wittled it down to these two and would appreciate some advice before i take the plunge, cheers

Which camera do you recommend for Jade-Poppy-Stephens?

Canon 600D
17.9 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD
Canon 60D - $699
17.9 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD

For indoor shooting both cameras are going to perform similarly in terms of noise at a given ISO level, to get better performance you'd need to buy a full frame camera which bumps you up to $2500 so that's not an option. All that matters in a club/dark/indoor environment is low light performance . Both cameras are going to be pretty similar but the 600D is slightly less expensive, take the savings and get a 24-70mm f/2.8 fixed aperture lens - that will give you the extra boost you'll need when shooting indoors.

If you're not tied to Canon, you might also want to consider Nikon cameras in the equivalent price range.  Nikon DSLRs tend to have better low-light image performance than Canon cameras.
