Taking pictures inside, outside and landscape

Hi!

I'm from Spain so first of all sorry for my english, it's a bit bad.

I've read a lot of reviews of those cameras and I'm still confused about which one is better. Some experts say that Nikon D5100 is better when taking pictures and Canon 600D when recording video.

I would like to buy the kit of Canon 600d 18-55mm IS + 55-250mm IS or Nikon D5100 18-55mm VR + 55-300mm VR

Which one is better?

Thanks

Which camera do you recommend for Jordi-N-ger-Duch?

Canon 600D
17.9 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD
Nikon D5100 - $497
16.1 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD

I just have bought this wonderful nikon and my only possible word is: WOW! It's very good in every moment of the day and video are very great in good light condition! But i tried it with an old nikkor lens, lighter than the 18-55 or 18-105, and the result was AMAZING!

So, i will recommend you the D5100!

    I hope i helped you :)

I've heard the same sentiment expressed... and the stats seem to agree.  In the DSLR category, Nikon tends to have better image quality.  You will likely only notice this indoors in low light.  Either camera would be fine for landscape shots outside.

I'm a Nikon D5100 user :) I just bought it this month and it's very handy (suits well in my hand). It has nice effects plus it's a great entry level DSLR :)
