Travel photos

I spent many years with Nikomat/Nikkormat/Nikon gear (Non digital SLR) that are basically used for ashtrays now (even though I don't smoke).  I have a significant tremor that limited (ended) my interest in photography.  I'm interested in wading back in looking for a smallish, SLR (for travel) with image stabilization.  I need to have a tilt screen to view the image with my arms locked against my body or against my face (SLR) mode.

I took the Canon to deliver to a friend in Mexico and it felt good, although I didn't spend much time with it.  I just looked at the Nikon and I wanted more camera to hold on to with my left hand.

Any thoughts?
