Both of these cameras are great, and should meet your needs, but the Canon SX40 can take amazing macro photos, so I would suggest you take a look at that one.
Hi! My name is Lauryn and I was just at Best Buy looking at these two amazing sounding cameras, yet I have no clue which one I should buy. I want clear pictures which both cameras seem to produce quite equally. I want to be able to take non-blurry action shots and to take close up pictures of things like flowers (so something with a good macro focus). I would also like to be able to print great looking pictures of at least like 8inx10in and bigger. I'll also print smaller pictures like the sizes you might use for scrapbooking. I'm not interested in making videos all that much. I prefer just being able to take pictures when I go to events or on walks or just for fun when I see something that catches my attention. I also like to have something with a more creative edge to it. Thanks!
Which camera do you recommend for Lauryn-August?
