In Camera HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a very important feature these days that I wouldn't buy a new camera without HDR, so S8200 won't be my choice. For low lighting, Canon S100's F2.0 with ISO 6400 is significantly better than S9300's F3.5 with ISO 3200. The S9300's powerful 18x zoom is not that important for in house pictures -- if that are most of your pictures taken. So my suggestion is Canon S100.
