If you already have a Nikon then there is no reason to switch unless you're unhappy with something. Nikon DSLRs also tend to have better image quality than their Canon equivalents.
Which camera do you recommend for Uday-Chander?

Visitorover a year ago Uday-Chanderok thank you.. I thought of going for another semi professional slr.. Which one u sugest?? -
Expert IIIover a year ago Philip-DavisI don't know the Nikon lines very well. But without knowing specifically what kind of photography you do, I'd suggest that something semi-professional will be in the $1,000 - $2,000 range. Also, on a fixed budget, consider spending a little less on the body and more on the lens. -
Beginner II8 months ago gabriel-molinaWhat he said is true, it's better to invest in lenses than in bodies if you have a "tight" budget. If you have a nice array of lenses, and want a body the same quality as the lenses at a semi-pro level I'd buy the D7000 ($899 body only at 42photo.com, that's where I bought mine).

why switch canon when u have some gear for nikon already which can be used on the newer body - for a whole new setup - it would be a matter of choice - if u want to go serious - and money is not tight - consider the higher range series too - heard of the d600 full frame @ 1500$ body only can be a good one to start
