    i own a p510, and i would say i am impressed. it is a sufficient, all-around camera. the zoom alone is worth it.

    the difference in quality is not that big for a price almost triple, unless you are after printing poster size images. for small prints and pc monitor views, the 16mp is more than enough (i use a 12mp wallpaper for my 22-inch monitor).

    but if you are investing eventually in interchangeable lenses, d7000 it is.
