I want to take photos of robins (move quickly) in low light (bush)

Keryn-McCracken | Asked  over a year ago | Last response was 5 months ago

I'm a beginner.  I spend a lot of time in the bush and want to take photos of the wildlife but at the same time, don't want anything too bulky to carry in a pack.

Any recommendations for an entry-level photographer?

Which camera do you recommend for Keryn-McCracken?

Nikon D5100 - $497
16.1 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD
Nikon P510 - $335
15.9 MP|41.7x f/3.0|1/2.5" CMOS|3" LCD

I personally, would choose the D5100 because I do believe the shutter speed is faster and has better settings when it comes to low light. Please Note, the D5100 is an amazing camera!

Some Nikon DSLR, okay .. but take a look at the lenses!

Maybe you could be happy with the very fast Nikon 35mm 1:1.8 prime lens! Focusing is very fast and the lens is good for low light aswell (not possible to be that good for zoom lenses, they start at 1:2.8)

for low light performance - forget any point and shoot - rather compare the range of dslr's as per ur budget

These two camera's are chalk and cheese . Also, DSLR's are not at all bulky.
