Not a professional, but an experienced amateur. Current lenses include the sigma 70-200 2.8 EX OS HSM, Sigma 10.22 EX, Canon 85mm 1.8,, Canon 50mm 1.8 and Sigma 30mm 1.4.

Looking to add a macro lens, most probably the Canon 100mm

Which camera do you recommend for vincentthe?

Canon 7D - $1,249
17.9 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD
Canon 60D - $699
17.9 MP|APS-C CMOS|3" LCD

When it comes to sports, the 7d is far superior to it's baby brother 60d. As for the Canon 100mm macro, I can't say enough good things about it, especially the newest L version with hybrid IS. The sharpness of that lens is dramatic, and the new IS system allows for a real world 3 stops improvement in handheld situations with ease.

I've opted for the Sigma 150mm macro, primarily based on the available working distance.

If the money is not a problem....of course, the 7D! That camera is fast (8fps, good for sport & action photography), is weather sealed (perfect for "rain forest" wildlife photos)!

By the way...if you like action & wildlife photography I'll advise you to buy one telephoto lens with more range (specialy for wildlife photography), like Canon 100-400mm, or similar (Sigma...etc)

    Good luck on your choice!
