i am looking to buy new camera but feel mess

Pay less, get better performance comparing to D300: better image quality, low light performance, lighter, faster (focus and shutter lag), bigger sensor and lots of buttons to quickly tweak your camera. the D2x is so outdated I dont recommend it at all. There is some rumors of having next generation of D7000 so you might consider waiting but I think D7000 is a perfect camera and way better than D300.

2 apsc bodies would do no good to the end results - try considering a fx body

also note that these bodies are v old versions - support on technical terms may be limited in market
