taking photos in low light

i currently have a fujifilm f30 which has been great for taking pictures in low light conditions, particularly at concerts etc.  however, it's over 6 years old now so I'm looking to upgrade.  the f550 and f770 caught my attention as my previous two compact cameras have been fujis and these two seem to be the kind of thing I'm after (although I'm open to looking at other brands - my dlsr is a canon and I'm very happy with that!). any suggestions?
