Good quality, but small

I will be taking this traveling a lot, so I want it small and durable.  I'm not going to be selling these photos, it's just to keep memories of the places I visit, so I don't need a camera that will allow me to take really incredible photos.  That said, I have a nice DSLR that I use for cool photography and would like to be able to take some nice photos in my travels and work.  Price is a total non-issue.  Also, when I come home again in two years, I ski a lot with my brothers and would still like to be able to use the camera for skiing photography and video.
