great looking pictures without having to do touch ups

Chloe-Lippens | Asked  a year ago | Last response was 5 months ago

I like to take close ups of bugs or animals. Using the camera as a way I see things in my eyes. I have been taking pictures since I was a child and have grown up with film cameras. I now would like to find a camera that can meet all my needs with my artistic views.

Which camera do you recommend for Chloe-Lippens?

Nikon D700 - $3,500
12.1 MP|Full frame CMOS|3" LCD
Canon 5D Mark III - $3,499
22.1 MP|Full frame CMOS|3.2" LCD

I take macro insects/spiders with my 7D and 100mm macro lens and Canon ringflash. Have had extraordinary success and some of my photos are being published in Australia and London in scientific publications. I bought the 5D Mk3 but found the 1.6 crop sensor on the 7D makes focus on tiny things much easier. I LOVE the 5D3 for lowlight stage work, portraits, landscape but prefer the 7D for macro and even bird shots. (more reach) Here are a few shots from earlier this yr taken on the 7D. On my D700, I never touchup any of my photos...  However, that has a lot to do with technique.  EXCELLENT camera.  You can get one for half the price of the 5dIII and it will knock your socks off.
