Tell us more! Are you a beginner or expert? What types of photos do you like to take? What features in a camera are important to you? I am pretty much a novice! I need something fairly simple for underwater, vacation vistas, etc. I like a point and shoot. I have owned a Canon D10 for the past 3 years and been very happy with my pictures overall. I also like the labeled settings for sunset, underwater, people, pets, etc. I sometimes use the automatic setting but not often.There is some type of issue with that camera where I have gotten a lens error message and it quit working. Canon replaced it without an issue and my husband accidently left the camera open after downloading pictures and we killed it. I bought a Fiji because that was all that was available on Kauai. The pictures were not even close in comparison. I returned it and bought a 2nd Canon when I returned home, but had the same lens error issue about 6 months down the road and it quit working. Canon replaced that camera, as well, so I know they have great customer service. So technically I'm on my 4th Canon. I got the lens error message this winter,but it went away. I really am afraid of something happening in the middle of my vacation this summer so I'm looking at another simple camera that takes great pictures of vistas and underwater as a backup. I'm very simple!I wouldn't mind trying my hand at some underwater video, either. What should I choose?
