Taking low light photos

I'm not a beginner, but I'm not a full on pro either. I take a lot of pictures at bars and concerts. There are places where I can't take a professional camera, so my DSLR is out of the question half the time. I like to have lots of options and settings. I like the g12, because I can use my Canon flashes with it, and there seems to be a lot more fun things to do with it. Lenses and what not, but I'm wondering if that is actually worth it?

Which camera do you recommend for Megan-N-Wilson?

Canon S100 - $299
12 MP|5x f/2.0|1/1.8" CMOS|3" LCD
Canon G12 - $509
10 MP|5x f/2.8|1/1.7" CCD|2.8" LCD
