Semi beginner, want something that will actually be waterproof in salt and fresh water, and that can take some impact in case we crash windsurfing with it.

Which camera do you recommend for carolcartom?

Nikon AW100 - $209
15.9 MP|5x f/3.9|1/2.5" CMOS|3" LCD
Panasonic TS4 - $248
12 MP|4.6x f/3.3|1/2.5" CCD|2.7" LCD

Please take a look at the amazing GoPro HD Hero is a great video camera that also does photography. Is by far the best for radical sports at a price below $500 - there is nothing stronger...

Better movies, Shoots faster a bit, longer battery duration, more heavy so you loose it less fast, buttons are more easy to control while surfing etc. etc.

Lumix if you're going for one of the two, but I'd recommend going down the Go Pro route or a Panasonic WA10.

Nikon ! Meilleur focale et meilleur Cens-or CMOS pour des conditions de basse lumière !
