Change them quickly, and preferably with the power off and the opening pointing down. you will always get dust, but dust actually isn't a huge issue most of the time unless you're shooting stopped WAY down, or you've just let the dust get out of control.
Other tips include, always keep back caps on your lenses when not in use, and blow off the back glass regularly since that's where most of the dust comes from, not the action of changing the lens. -
I change my lens like this:
- First I put the lens on a flat surface with enough room for the one that's already on the camera. I then loosen the cap on the back of the lens I'm going to be putting on the body and prepare the other cap for the lens I'm taking off (if I don't just use the same one)
- I then hold the body with the lens pointing at the floor, take the lens off, set it down on the surface and put the cap on the back.
- I take the cap off the new lens, and screw it into the body (all the while pointing the body down).
It's easy, and gravity helps keep the dust out for you!
Another thing is to make sure the back of the lens you're putting on isn't dusty. Try cleaning it off a bit before putting it on.

I always follow this procedure (very similar to some other answers already given)
1. Lay my camera down on a flat surface (with lens pointing upward)
2. Ready the new lens by unscrewing the back cap (but leaving the lens sitting on the back cap, also on a flat surface)
3. Push the lens release button and twist the old lens
4. I place the new lens on the mount just as I remove the old lens, and twist it into locked position
5. and finally place the back cap on the old lens.
I'm not concerned about the fraction of a second where the mount is exposed. I find it a lot easier than holding the body with the mount facing downward and I've had no problem with dust yet.

i usually turn the body cam upside down- facing the floor- or towards your body slightly angled down before removing its lens. this is to protect the dust from getting in. been 2 years and still dust free so far. I got this tip from one of the adviser before.

You Need To change them fast.....straight from the bag and always use lens caps bothf or front and back
-
I carry a plastic bag (large freezer bag) in my kit.I put the camera in the bag and do all my lens swapping within in the bag, if the surrounding area is subject to pollens, salty air, dust or rain........Cheers Wayne............

You should change lenses in the bathroom or another place, where is high humidity.
Like this:
1. Go to the bathroom
2. Turn the tap with cold water
3. Wait for a 5-7 minutes when fall all dust
4. Turn the body cam upside down and change your lens
Good luck!
