both are good - if u want to shoot video - 3200 may have a point higher but the swivel screen is just fun to work with on the d5100 and auto bracketing feature on 5100 helps - rest is just a matter of the good feel of both cams u get in ur hands
Which camera do you recommend for Aaditya-Kalia?

Nikon d3200 is new and I think that Nikon d3200 is good for a beginner I bought for my self 2 weeks ago as I was a beginner and now I am starting to learn how to take great photos

go for d5100. if you go for a high spec you will not regret it....although you still a beginner, with your interest, you can quickly learn most of the mechanics of dslr. if you take low spec dslr, you might regret it coz human would always want more especially if they learned new skills. if your budget could afford d5100, i strongly suggest that you take d5100. hope this helps..(Ive got d5100 and love it to the max- I used to own a panasonic gf1)

i would agree, it will not take long to learn the DSLR ways, the only thing you'd actually need is time and effort
the 5100 was my first, and a year down, i am still exploring new avenues,
totally worth it
