canon eos 650d or nikon d5100 HELP

TaliDarren-Katz | Asked  11 months ago | Last response was 10 months ago

Hi, this is my first DSLR camera, I have been taking photos since I was around 8 so a 30 years!  I don't want a camera for a beginner as it's taken me a loooooong time to get the money together for this purchase.  I wanted the eos 550 however there are now newer cameras and I'm in a dilemma, don't want to make a mistake!  I like to take photos of anything that catches my eye, including my pets, sunrises, sunsets and everything in between.

A camera that is not hard to use at the start, so I can not have blurry shots.  These 2 are in my price range, and I was going for the 65o until a camera guy said the nikon is a better camera as the lenses are better quality......  A client of mine had the 550 (2 years ago) and the wonderful things he could do with the photos is what made me want the canon.  On the other hand my dad always had a Nikon!  I just want the best one and don't know how to work it out.

What to do????

Thanks heaps.

I prefer the canon...it just feels so good. The flip-screen helps in capturing through nice angles! nikon isnt just my choice. Best luck. Have fun.

I bought the 650d... Its an amazing camera!! I am just loving its quality and capabilities!! The modes are many and really useful. The display, touch screen, superfast focussing capacity is so cool and damn useful.
