Is there a reason you want to switch brands?
Which camera do you recommend for twinanto?

Visitor10 months ago twinantonot brand minded actually but, some of my friends told that investing in Canon (full frame) will be more cheaper than nikon in same spec. -
Expert I10 months ago Brenden-SherrattPersonally I would keep the the D7000, unless you really need/want a full framed camera. There are rumors of an entry level full framed camera coming out this year from both Nikon and Canon, wait till that hits the market and then decide.

The only reasons that you would want to switch to the canon would be if you are a video-only shooter without that many lenses or absolutely out of your mind. The 5D mark II is a decent full frame camera but switching systems and going for a very out-dated body. Sure it takes great photos but with the right glass and a good eye, the D7000 can easily surpass the 5D. Of course the 5D is going to be better in low light but if you need a FX camera, go for the D600. I have friends that shoot the 5D and they say its very slow to focus and slow to write to cards, meaning that they can only really use it for portraits and landscapes. If you want to pigeon hole yourself with the 5D go right ahead though.

I was thinking about the same a while back as Canon is much cheaper if you want to get fast primes. In the end everything works out... D800 is $500 less than the new 5D, 24-70 is $400 less than the now decent new Canon version and I saved from not selling existing gear. I ended up not going all out with primes either. Unless there are specific lenses you want and you can price it up and see a saving now, you might find you end up losing out, particularly if a 5DMk2 acquisition prevents you buying the L series lenses that you will most likely want eventually.

Keep the D7000 or sell it off and look at other options. I love the Canon 5D Mark II and III, but for a lot less you could get the new Lumix GH3 and shooting some great video besides still shots. It all depends, if you have a lot invested in "Glass" then I would stick with what you got and pick up another camera/camcorder for doing video. Mirror-less is the way things will eventually go, well at least what most experts think and now with Nikon and Canon looking into the market who knows. I am actually thinking of Selling off my Nikon gear as I shoot about 50/50 stills to video and I would love a camera that does 1080p/60fps, and do it well.

cheap/bad lens with expensive camera means bad photo produce. get a good len but cheap camera means a good photo produce.very thing comes down to a good lens that is why camera lens is so expensive compared to the body.

now days 5DmkII is a steal, is one of the best cameras out there, full frame, better IQ than D7000 and far better than 7D.
anyway, u should keep the d7000 bc is a great camera, i love 5Dmkii but is a little older now.
the real question is. get the D800 or 5DmkIII.
Canon is the king of video DSLR by the way
