Fujifilm finepix hs10 too expensive?

I bought a fujifilm finepix hs10 and I paid $342.00 new by amazon 18 months ago, now the price in amazon is $899.00 new, all the time I check the price, always is going up, Why it does going more expensive if new model hs30 has more features, and as I read here in this site  compareing both models, hs30 model is the winner and really cheap, why Hs10 is more expensive than Hs30???.
