is the D5100 for me? I'm looking for something around 500$ that shoots video at a res of 1080p at least. I could get technical but lets just save time, is this he best hd dslr camera for around 500 out there right now? Thanks

Check out the list of HD capable DSLRs for under $550. Looks like D5100 is the top (but costs more than $500)
