My sister has a canon t4i and does not like the image quality. i have a nikon D7000 and i LOVE IT! it is really fast and built. if your looking for a good brand, NIKON ALL THE WAY!

I definitely recommend D7000 to you. following reasons are just some advantages of this camera:

No contest here. The D7000 is far and away the better camera in all facets of shooting. The only possible thing that the canons could have on it is the video but, if you are like me, you want a camera to take great photos and thats what you will get with the D7000. No matter what camera you end up getting, make sure you get good glass with them.
