Comparing the Nikon D5100 and Sony NEX-7. The D5100 score is significantly higher than the NEX-7. However, when looking at the score breakdown the Nikon ONLY wins because it's popularity score is significantly higher. If the Popularity score wasn't included, the NEX-7 would win, hands down.
So, my question is, why is the popularity score weighted so heavily or even included? Just because a camera has a higher popularity score doesn't me it is a better camera. I think the overall rating scheme is fudged a bit because the popularity score is included. Anybody else agree?
