Simply to put it off, Image quality!

Though Nikon has fewer "Pixels" than canon 60D, its pixel size is bigger.. 16.2 is decent for cropping.. even in bird photography.. I was stuck with either 60D or 7000D, I'm a cinematography student, so I'll need a camera that can shoot Hi-res video at 24p, canon is leading right now in DSLR cinematography, that's because their "bit rate" is 45mb/s while Nikon is stuck with 16mb/s, but practically, Nikon uses a completely different and better method to encode their video files. also Nikon's sensor is literally larger than 60D, which means larger space to put the pixels in. Eventually giving lesser noise, better color reproduction, and higher dynamic range. which is the most important factor in a sensor (even 0.5 stops make a big difference). And nikon has 39 AF points which is equivalent to their 51 point AF points used in their flagship D300.  The cross type focusing is the same in both canon 60D and nikon D7000, 9 points. And nikon has a completely new metering system that detect actual RGB colours and adjust the values, while even canon's 1Dx still uses black and white metering. Literally. But there is a slight disadvantage in nikon's metering system, as it detects colours and adjusts based on that, The image may appear "over-exposed" when placed in front of a bright sky. But that is easily solved in post, thanks to nikon's better latitude (dynamic range). And since nikon has better ISO performance, its possible to use +1 to +3 stops of shutter speed, which means that its possible to get "cleaner" (in terms of noise) images than canon at higher shutter speeds, which in turn helps us in using lenses without Image stabilization or Vibration Reduction more efficiently. Usually lenses with IS or VR blow a hole through our pocket, in the same focal length, you can use a lens w/o IS and VR (to an extent) and produce, sharper, brighter and cleaner images. With that being said, the nikon lenses are a bit cheaper than canon in India. Just check out the 70-300 f4-5.6G lens from nikon. Its not really a good lens, but for 6,250 INR, its the ultimate lens!

don't go to the deep end faster. if you are a beginner and this is your first DSLR better start with an entry level camera like the new 650D. it has fast focus in low light and touch screen with high resolution.

The best DSLR you can get among your options. You know, photography isnt about bigger sensors and specifications, it is all about the freedom your camera gives you by providing you with a lot of knobs and buttons to help you change your settings effectively and fast. So up to this part all these three cameras may look the same to one. But here comes nikon advantage over canon, it gives you the chance of working with every single auto-focus lens manufactured after 1986 by nikon (for higher end cameras like D7000). So you can get a D series lens and easily put it on your D7000 and it works like a charm. Also until late 2010 D7000 was the record holder for high iso performance among digital cameras up to that day, so I think you shouldnt worry much about low light perdormance also.

The 650D is probably the best camera for a beginner.

It has more features to assist you in taking photos / videos.

As cameras the Nikon D7000 and the 60D are much better, but only if you are experienced and know how to use them.
You would only need a professional camera if you are in the photography business, making a profit from the photos you take.
If you want to shoot videos for youtube I recommend the 650D from Canon.
Very good light sensitivity and full HD video recording with contrast detection which makes it focus pretty fast.
    It's worth every penny!

I recommend the Pentax K-5. It is the best and most versatile choice from these cameras n in this price category.

For lower budget, consider the Nikon D5100. It is a more affordable camera and no compromises on image quality.

Take a peek to a side-by-side image quality comparison:

for the price and quality why not taking up the d7000... by the way camera is not that important part the important part is the lens you are going for. i am now using the 11-16mm tokina, and 70-300mm vr. with these two lens you can forget about the kit 18-105...
