Which one to pick... the D3200 or the D7000..?

alcarbajal | Asked  10 months ago | Last response was 9 months ago

I am a beginner and this will be my first dslr camera, I've done lots of research and it has come down to these two cameras, BUT i am not sure which one to pick. My objectives is to use the camera for capturing pictures of sports activities and my family. Do the advantages of the D7000 make up for the price difference..? Is it really worth it going for the D7000.? Thanks!

Alberto

Recommending Nikon D5100 as you started as "I am a beginner and this will be my first dslr camera"  ..... :)

Nikon D5100 uses same sensor of Nikon D7000.So you can get same image quality in a lower price.

D7000 is better in every other area when compared with D5100.

I would buy neither. The D5100 is the perfect "compromise" between these two, and the best value for money. If you want to spend a little more, I would prefer the Pentax K-5 over these three.

The D3200 is an excellent choice, but if you really like photography you will soon be looking for a D7000.
