Interestingly, this camera has remarkable low-light performance, and even at ISO 3200, the pictures look only a little more water colored than at base ISO.

But if you can be happy with a LARGE JPEG and the flexibility to shoot in all modes...aperture, shutter, manual... you'll like this cost effective black box.

In addition to the Auto and Best Shot modes, the Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority and Manual will prove particularly appealing to more experienced photographers looking for more control over what the camera is doing.

Starting with the former mode, the EX-FH100 can record standard quality movies at 640x480 pixels at 30fps in the AVI format, or High Definition quality movies at 1280x720 pixels at 30fps.

Casio combines those features with a 24mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 10x zoom, giving you a lot of flexibility for capturing things you normally can't catch with a point-and-shoot.

Although it has what appears to be the same lens as the H15 it seems to suit the FH100 better, producing excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal wide-angle distortion.

First while not pro quality I love the high speed video ...it's a blast to play with and can do some cool artsy stuff with it.

While the 1,000 fps has very grainy, small format videos, the 450 fps videos are awesome!

I got this camera for it's high speed video capabilities, but the quality of still images was so remarkably low that I simply could not justify this camera at $300.

Video

I use the high speed video to analyze motion and I am very pleased with all settings through 240 fps.

Not only is HD Recording amazingly clear, but switching to 120, 240, or even 420 FPS looks absolutely amazing.

Slow motion

It has plenty of easy select-and-shoot options for the high-speed features, but without a fully automatic shooting mode, taking a normal photo requires more effort.

In addition, the EX FH100 can record high-speed movies at 1,000fps, 420fps, 240fps, 120fps, 30-240fps or 30-120fps, has a Prerecord Continuous Shutter setting that starts shooting when the shutter button is depressed halfway, and offers high-speed Night Scene, Lighting, Anti-shake and Portrait scene modes which combine several burst images into a single, clear photo.

It's just small enough to fit into the palm of your hand, despite featuring a versatile 10x optical zoom lens that's equivalent to a focal length of 24-240mm.

My wife also owned an older Casio Exilim model, and we've been very happy with it, in terms of size versus image quality.
Casio Exilim EX-FH100 | Rated 100% by by Nathaniel-Wolf (Jun, 2010)
The image quality natually goes down as the frame rate goes up, and the quality is not great at 1000 fps, but I have found 120 fps to be quite adequate with a reasonable image quality for viewing a golf swing.
Casio Exilim EX-FH100 | Rated 100% by by Boston_Qualifier (Apr, 2010)

Sensor

There is some loss of detsail at 800 ISO, but overall quality remains high.
Casio Exilim EX-FH100 | Rated 90% by by TrustedReviews (May, 2011)
In raw+ mode, which is raw plus JPEG, the camera's wait time is a painful 13 seconds.
