Rated 80% by by TrustedReviews (Apr, 2012)We found that images taken at this setting came out very well, and while the Macro element isn’t necessarily the main reason to buy a TG-820 it’s still a useful feature to have.

TG-820 by Ali-Roustai (Jul, 2012)Like pretty much all the point and shots that I have tried, this camera suffers from having too big of megapixel for the sensors size it has.
TG-820 by Lucas-Smithand pretty much anything above 100 ISO or maybe 200 ISO is too noisy in my opinion and even 100 ISO has the JPEG edge artifacts.
sensor size
TG-820 by wluffman (Aug, 2012)If anyone expects to get amazing low light photos from a point-and-shoot, you are a moron!!! For that kinds of quality you need to fork over a few thousand for a great lens and high end DSLR full frame!!! Anyone that complains about poor low light photos has no idea what they are talking about!
TG-820 by TrustedReviews (Apr, 2012)ISO 800 is where noise becomes more visible, even at smaller image sizes.
wide angle lens
TG-820 by TrustedReviews (Apr, 2012)Internally, the TG-820 gets a 5x optical zoom, which offers a 35mm focal range equivalent of between 28-140mm and uses a folded lens design to keep it housed entirely within the camera body.
TG-820 by Ali-Roustai (Jul, 2012)Zoom in and out about average.-Details can be muddy if you are in a shade area in both pictures and video.-Skin tone in pictures come out too soft for my tast... I guess this can be a plus if you like beauty shots with softer tone.
aperture size
TG-820 by jake (Aug, 2012)Only 5x optical, and you can tell that it struggles to keep up with zooming as far as quality goes.

TG-820 by Lucas-SmithNot zoomed in the images look fine, but zoomed in the effect is that the whole image looks harsh, and it creates what appears to be artifacts around edges (like eyes and mouths).
TG-820 by Adrian (Aug, 2012)I was a bit concerned about the zoom after reading some comments, stating, that it was poor quality.

TG-820 by TrustedReviews (Apr, 2012)General operation is fairly straightforward – even while wearing thick gloves – thanks to the addition of Tap Control.

TG-820 by E.-Michael-Calnan (Feb, 2013)The pictures are sharp with much faster shutter times and storage speeds.
TG-820 by wluffman (Aug, 2012)It even has a metal shutter cover that activates when it is off or in picture viewing mode.

Olympus TG-820 | Rated 80% by by K.-Nguyen--DKit. (remember this is waterproof camera, using underwater and at the beaches will be used alot).Overall, this is a great general point and shoot cam. Not the best cam but if combine the picture quality, the ability to use around/under water and the price I.
