Features Key features of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ47 compared to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150
MP12
1/2"
Rated 80% by by Photography Blog (Aug, 2011)You can only view the results on a 3D TV (the FZ48 records standard MPO files), and although it isn't as effective as images taken with Panasonic's 3D Micro Four Thirds lens or the Fujifilm 3D W3, for example, it does create quite a convincing effect which particularly suits subjects that are close-up to the camera.
12 MP
1/2.5"
Rated 76% by by DPReview (Apr, 2012)Video performance is very good - 60p full HD footage is nice and detailed, and although not up the quality of an external microphone the FZ150's inbuilt stereo mic does a decent job in day to day use.

Lumix DMC-FZ47 by Photography Blog (Aug, 2011)Key highlights of the FZ48 / FZ47 include a 24x zoom, higher-resolution 3 inch LCD, full 1080i HD movies, faster auto-focusing and burst shooting, and a 12 megapixel CCD sensor.
Lumix DMC-FZ150 by Photography Blog (Sep, 2011)Key highlights of the FZ150 include a 24x zoom lens, full 1080p HD movies, high-resolution 3 inch LCD, faster auto-focusing and burst shooting, and a sensible 12 megapixel MOS image sensor.
sensor size
Lumix DMC-FZ47 by Terry-R.-Umbenhaur--Video-Gaming-NinjaThe picture quality remains superb, but as competing compact cameras upgrade to CMOS technology for improved low light shooting and burst modes, the advantages of a large lens and flash in a CCD-based bridge camera are diminished in many situations.
Lumix DMC-FZ150 by Chris-Bonadonna (Jul, 2012)I just wish someone would put a DSLR size sensor in a mega zoom camera!
wide angle lens
Lumix DMC-FZ47 by Life-is-Good (Oct, 2012)With wide angle at 25mm you can get everybody in your photo on group shots, don't need to step back or squeeze everybody together like you do with many point and shoots.
aperture size
Lumix DMC-FZ47 by Terry-R.-Umbenhaur--Video-Gaming-NinjaUnfortunately, the continuous shooting feature is still crippled, there is still no way to lock the exposure/aperture settings in Auto mode, and no option to hold the current shot on the LCD while the shutter button is depressed.
Lumix DMC-FZ150 by parker--parker (Jan, 2012)I had great hopes for this camera cause it fit what I wanted, eye-level viewfinder, fast lens, light, compact, good price, all the great stuff this camera offers.

Lumix DMC-FZ47 by J.-Kendall (Dec, 2011)Yes, that ancient FZ10 had a metal body, where the new FZ47 is plastic instead... But the optics are great, the autofocus is great, the low light is very, very good, the bright light is superb, the speed is blazing, and the zoom is friggin' awesome... I just love it.
Lumix DMC-FZ150 by pixie (Sep, 2012)I like the FZ150, it's a nice, light camera, easy to use, zoom's great, video works nice.

Lumix DMC-FZ47 by Randall-Allen--Sierra-Biker (Nov, 2012)It's the camera you have with you, a very practical bring along camera, light-weight with decent quality, unless you're a real purist.
Lumix DMC-FZ150 by M.-Whitaker (Nov, 2011)I love the weight, much lighter than the cameras that take 4 AA batteries (really)!

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 | Rated 100% by by turtlehair (Feb, 2012)When taking pictures during a video recording, SX40's video would "break" by the picutres, while FZ150's video is smooth (both with default settings).

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 | Rated 76% by by DPReview (Apr, 2012)In challenging conditions the FZ150 gives better image quality than its predecessor thanks, in great part, to Panasonic's decision to go with a much more capable 12 megapixel CMOS sensor instead of the FZ100's unimpressive 14MP unit.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 | Rated 76% by by DPReview (Apr, 2012)The Panasonic DMC-FZ150 CMOS-powered 24X superzoom is a replacement for the slightly unloved FZ100 and incorporates a lower-resolution 12MP sensor that the company says will outperform its predecessor's 14MP chip.
