The other useful control is the rocker switch which is in the place usually reserved for the zoom control.

The audio on the video function cuts out when you try to zoom which is annoying but I bought an extra battery and work around the rest, overall I am VERY happy with my new camera!

Well, first of all, I am a photo bug that love street and landscape photography, I have number of full frame DSLRs, and some heavy lenses; however since once I brought all of my gears to go on a trip to Thailand, I understood that making "good" photos are not an easy job, physically.

The 4X zoom on the Canon was far better as the Nikon didn't have as good of stabilizer for close shots.

It is light weight and really good looking too.

This camera is easy to use right out of the box-I selected it mainly because of its great zoom capabilities (the major feature for me).

Exposure and colour reproduction is excellent, and dynamic range is also better than average for a 10MP compact, thanks to the larger size 1/1.75-inch sensor.

It has a 60fps burst shoot capacity which makes it easier to find the perfect moment.

GPS nice addition but not the most important thing for me - I could live without it.
