The images have a ton of detail in them for an APS-C, and while a 35/2.8 equivalent lens isn't necessarily a bokeh machine, what there is looks nice and clean to me.

The APS-C DSLR sensor in the A12 unit is much more like it, with superb image quality up to ISO 1600 and fantastic bokeh at wide-open apertures, but the 50mm focal length and slow auto-focus performance limit its overall appeal.

So much about it is just 'right' - not just the feat of squeezing a relatively large APS-C sensor into a compact body, but also the lovely design and the fluid, intuitive analogue-style exposure controls.
