It takes a little getting used to the differences in navigation as compared to a PC, but I love how fast it is and the awesome battery life.

The audio visual aspects are a joy as is the big screen and the computers power full processors.
MacBook Pro 7th Gen by Kevin-Lee---Florida (Sep, 2011)
I find it to be beautiful, and in comparing it to other screens (the 15" Macbook Pro and the 13" Macbook Air) I didn't see a big difference.

I feel like a heavy burden has left my shoulder thanks to the nice trackpad, screen resolution and quality, and overall ease of use of Mac's OS X Lion.

The LED screen is crisp and clear, and with the regular 1440X900 resolution I can easily use this laptop without any eyestrain.

I am writing this review on a mid 2011 imac 21.5 2.5 ghz quad core and oddly it seems like the macbook pro 13 is much zippier.
MacBook Pro 7th Gen by Cyrus-the-Unbiased
I did take one star for price and the cost of the apple name and like I said I wouldve been just as happy with the performance of the 2.0 ghz version if i werent so neurotic.

This new line is a HUGE leap in performance, both in processor (quad core vs dual core) as well as graphics (discreet).
MacBook Pro 7th Gen by Don-Montalvo (Mar, 2011)
The dual core on the 2010 seemed fast but when compared to the i7 quad core the dual core isn't even in the same universe!

I think 4GB of ram is more than enough for anyone, but I may upgrade to 8GB of ram in the future.

Type

No doubt MacBooks are pricey compared to Windows laptops but in my opinion they are well worth it.

I was a long time Windows user who needed a feature (firewire) on a laptop that seems to no longer be available on windows laptops while it is available on the Macbook Pro.

Screen

The new MBP's keyboard is very obviously more centered than the old one, and there are not dusts/bright pixels inside the screen.

Operating system

Nice quality, though I haven't really done more than messed around with it.-The magnetic power cable is slick.-As a former Windows user, I find the Mac OS X interface to be really nice and intuitive.

Battery

The 4gb of memory isn't the highest capacity, but is at least fast and gets the job done (and easily expandable).

Harddrive

The HD didn't matter since I was going to replace it with a 750GB 7200 RPM Seagate Momentus XT (hybrid with an 8GB SSD built in to improve performance to near SSD speeds).

it has a 3gbs data transfer rate so its not as fast as those in sata III and at 6gbps but again the difference in real world computing scenarios is negligible.

You should use the Get Info function on your MacBook to see how much of your hard drive you are currently using and choose a hard drive accordingly.
