PROS:-Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit runs flawlessly on the dual core processor.-Graphics card is excellent and watching YouTube/DVD videos on full screen is smoothe, even with high definition.-It's 3GB RAM is more than enough for normal use.

As an AMD fan, this laptop is perfect with its combination of a quad core CPU and Radeon 56xx series GPU.

I went from a small 10.6" netbook to this big 17.3" laptop and I really love the big screen size.

I love this laptop, every thing that I needed fast and the big screen is all some did not realize how big it was till I open it.

The screen resolution is amazing 1080p, the beats sound is fine for a laptop and the Blue ray player is an excellent complement to see movies.

Millenium Falcon was the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, which is why I nicknamed this 2.0 ghz with 4 ddr2 cuz its smoking fast, but another name that comes to mind is the Silver Surfer, the finish is amazing on this laptop.
Pavilion dv6 by npr410 (Jan, 2010)
The processor will accelerate to 2.4 ghz when needed and is plenty fast enough.

On paper this thing is amazing: AMD A8 Quad Core processor 640 GB HDD, 6 GB RAM, Blu-ray player, Beats Audio, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, etc..
Pavilion dv6 by Selwyn-Hudson-Odoi (Jan, 2012)
Overall, it is a great laptop, not quite as fast as what I expected with a quad-core processor but it is still just as fast as my last laptop and you can't beat the price.

The 4gb of ddr3 ram is faster and more efficient than traditional ddr2 ram.
Pavilion dv6 by T.-Cramer (Jan, 2010)
It has a very good processor in the i5 and HUGE RAM at 8GB- what that translates to is a very enjoyable and fast/responsive experience.

A huge 5400 RPM hard drive gives plenty of space for files, built-in wireless and Bluetooth give connectivity, and the battery, while not giving be 6.5 hours (I'd suspect that's with screen a bit dim and all the rest turned off), has been FAR better than I'm used to with anything except my Asus EEE PC.
Pavilion dv6 by Bradford-Schmidt (Jan, 2012)
Battery life is very good and the machine is excellent.

*Changed the 500GB Hard Disk to a 256GB Samsung Solid State Drive and the performance is great.

The laptop's screen is brilliant on its own, and the case is built for space travel...Bad things, or stuff I'm not used to yet...the keys are very smooth, almost slippery.

I wish they had a touchscreen option on a smaller and lighter option (with the batter life that goes along with a lighter unit), but otherwise I have been very happy with this laptop.

4 Core AMD Processor will keep things moving at a pretty fast pace, although it ranks below Intel I7's, it still performs very well.

With Turbo Boost technology on both Core i3 and i5, the Intel processors will perform better on single threaded applications due to their ability to intelligently overclock while the N930 maxes out on its 2.0 GHz limit.

Screen

The screen is very glossy which gives great sharp clear resolution but at times can give a lot of glare also.

Wide-screens are a great fit for watching movies but I prefer to watch movies on my TV, however, wide-screens totally suck for pretty much everything else.

Unless you are a gamer playing games that demand the most competitive specs in existence (Santa Rosa processor, NVIDIA 8100 graphics card with 512+ dedicated VRAM, 7200 rpms, harmon kardon speakers with internal subwoofer- *eyeroll*- none of which this laptop offers), there is no task that this beautiful, sturdy, and lightning fast computer can't handle.

The switchable graphics really are stunning, from the normal Intel HD Graphics it switches to an ATI Radeon 7470M, a huge improvement on my old Radeon 6530D on my Acer desktop.
