Series 7 NP700Z5A by kennethj (Oct, 2012)The way the laptop lid is hinged to the base prevents the screen from opening more than (I'm guessing) 120 degrees, but this isn't a big deal at all.
Series 7 NP700Z5A by Byron-Tedder (Jan, 2012)But the amazing thing is how Samsung has engineered the bezel around the screen to be so small.
screen resolution
Series 7 NP700Z5A by S.-Lir (May, 2012)The resolution of the screen is extremely adequate, but not excessive,(remember that the retina display which incidentally is manufactured by Samsung is not a useful feature in say, watching movies), and for reading text and looking at images the resolution of this screen, 1600 x 900, is extremely adequate.
Series 7 NP700Z5A by Byron-Tedder (Jan, 2012)The Samsung has a higher resolution screen (perfect resolution in my opinion at 1600x900), although I do prefer the 16:10 ratio the Apple still uses more than the 16:9 ratio that everyone else has gone to.

Series 7 NP700Z5A by Gautam-D.-Ramchandani (Nov, 2011)Cons: poor choice of broadcom wireless card, signal strength deteriorates rapidly after 10 feet, only single band 2.4 GHz wireless n so the 5.8 GHz band is not available.
Series 7 NP700Z5A by kennethj (Oct, 2012)The graphics processor isn't the best, but I'm more than happy.

Series 7 NP700Z5A by S.-Lir (May, 2012)The laptop has a very quiet fan that goes on depending on the demand placed on the processor.

Series 7 NP700Z5A by Troy--bbqchickenrobot (Jun, 2012)I also upgraded the RAM to utilize 12GB of RAM with an 8GB SODIMM matching same specs as the Samsung SODIMM soldered to the board.
Series 7 NP700Z5A by kennethj (Oct, 2012)Also, if you're doing anything more than replacing a chip of RAM, you'll have to take the whole bottom cover off.
