Features Key features of the SAMSUNG Series 9 900X3A
1.6 GHz
Intel Core i5 2467M
Rated 100% by by C.-O.-Ra--smoker (Nov, 2011)I can describe this laptop as: super fast, quick boot/setup, ultra portable/lightweight, strong wifi, love the touch pad & gestures, and I love the keyboard.
screen size
13.3"
15.6"
15.5"
Series 9 900X3A by Mark-Olmstead (Aug, 2011)I bought this because I loved the size, the look and the screen.
Series 9 900X3A by Swiftks (Jul, 2011)I choose this product because of its compact size (yeah the Vaio's screen was nice and big, but a pain to pack up and use while laying down) and newer components (the SSD is unbelievable).
screen resolution
Series 9 900X3A by c|net (Mar, 2011)The screen has a maximum resolution of 1,366x768 pixels, but its brightness and viewable angles surpass many other laptops we've seen.
Series 9 900X3A by TrustedReviews (Feb, 2012)Black levels were also superb, so you can really pick out every detail in dark and gritty movies and games, regardless of how bright you set the backlight.
cpu speed
| 0 GHz | 3 GHz | 3 GHz |
Series 9 900X3A by Michael-E.-Freeman (Nov, 2011)I normally use the 2.4 Ghz because it has better range than the 5.0 GHz, but even if I am able to get 4 bars on the Samsung with the 2.4 Ghz wireless signal (and that is while standing within 10 feet of the router only), the signal drops out so frequently that it renders the connection useless.
Series 9 900X3A by Michael-E.-Freeman (Nov, 2011)So if you are primarily using a 5 Ghz router, you probably will not have any issues (making the broad-based assumption that your experience is the same as mine).
processor
Series 9 900X3A by TrustedReviews (Feb, 2012)The good news continues with the 900X3A's specifications, with the headline being its use of a dual-core Intel Core i5-2537M.
Series 9 900X3A by Brian-NeelyAnd I bought the fully loaded machine, i7 quad-core with 8GB RAM....it never even occurred to me that the Wi-Fi would be the limiter!
memory
| 0 GB | 8 GB | 8 GB |
Series 9 900X3A by pissantz34--pissantz34 (Nov, 2011)I'd recommend upgrading to 8GB of ram for multitasking - cmon it's only $30 or so and everything runs like a champ, so smooth.
Series 9 900X3A by TrustedReviews (Feb, 2012)It's configured in a single stick of 4GB taking up one of the two DIMM slots so Samsung can conceivably offer models with 8GB of RAM in the future.

Series 9 900X3A by funkyman33--funkyman33* Speed - the solid state drive combined with the i5 process is fast!
Series 9 900X3A by Charlie-White--Tech-GuyAs a power user I wasn't sure the Intel Core i5 and 4 GB RAM would be enough; but after running several VMWare servers, I'm very pleased with the performance.
battery life

4.5 hour
5 hour
Series 9 900X3A by TrustedReviews (Feb, 2012)Again, the Series 9 allayed our fears by providing over four hours with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, while switching these off and lowering the brightness to the 40 percent equivalent we run the Productivity test at on other laptops resulted in a solid seven hours and 20 minutes.
Series 9 900X3A by J.Brown (Jun, 2011)The screen is terrific, the keyboard feels really good, the case does not get very hot even after hours of use, and the audio is surprisingly good for a small laptop.

Series 9 900X3A by Phebe-Hart--techno-geekFrankly, to most peoples eye and usage, you probably wont see huge differences with fast SSD HDD and RAM, its the CPU which will make a difference and what speeds the CPU's run.
Series 9 900X3A by Drew-C.-Davies (Jul, 2011)The Performance: The i5 processor coupled with the SSD makes this Laptop the fastest one I've used.

SAMSUNG Series 9 900X3A 13.3", 1.6 GHz, 4 GB, 256 GB SSD | Rated 100% by by thierry (Sep, 2011)As a small disappointment and while plenty bright, the screen is not quite as sharp as LCDs screen by any standards.
SAMSUNG Series 9 900X3A 13.3", 1.6 GHz, 4 GB, 256 GB SSD | Rated 80% by by TrustedReviews (Feb, 2012)Combined with excellent sharpness, we really can't think of any negatives with this screen, especially since Samsung has made the excellent decision of going for a matt screen finish to keep reflections to a minimum!

SAMSUNG Series 9 900X3A 13.3", 1.6 GHz, 4 GB, 256 GB SSD | Rated 80% by by c|net (Mar, 2011)That's not to say the construction isn't very solid, but it just doesn't feel as rock solid as Apple's MacBook Air.

SAMSUNG Series 9 900X3A 13.3", 1.6 GHz, 4 GB, 256 GB SSD | Rated 80% by by TrustedReviews (Feb, 2012)Intel's new Sandy Bridge low voltage mobile processors provide the best efficiency to performance ratios on the market, so though its standard clock speed is only 1.4GHz, this can turbo clock up to 2.3GHz and utilizes Hyperthreading to provide up to four virtual cores.

SAMSUNG Series 9 900X3A 13.3", 1.6 GHz, 4 GB, 256 GB SSD | Rated 80% by by c|net (Mar, 2011)The 13-inch Series 9 has a second-generation Intel Core i5 CPU, but it's not the same processor that we've seen on recent fast mainstream laptops.
