Although you would think that Toshiba will put a full hd camera for their two webcams, the pictures come out very grayish and very pixelish.

The Corel Bluray software is crap... it is choppy and buggy... I added Cyberlink PowedDVD 11 Ultra and am much happier with the result.

Very fast, beautiful large display, handles anything I have thrown at it.

In fact, my 4 year old nephew thought he could-unfortunately, he had just returned from a Halloween party and was wearing some long plastic vampire finger nails, and my screen now has a small dent in it (wasn't quick enough to catch him).

The screen size remained the same but the Toshiba pulls off a win here as its a bit nicer quality the true 1080p resolution capabilities prob.

There's simply nothing it can't handle with lightening speed and my iPad's retina display isn't even this crystal clear.

In additon you should not get this laptop if you are looking for a long battery life, since you barely get 2.5 hours on the lowest setting!

Performance is awesome you definitely get what you pay for there; however battery life is a bit weak.

I'm hoping to find a resolution as this laptop was extremely pricey!! 3D is stunning, very nice design, kinda heavy for a laptop, but overall besides for it getting hot, I love it!

Bought one of these to play with 3D displays, and this system with the NVDA active glasses 3D Vision system delivers really nice 3D graphics.

Let me just say this is my first 3d capable laptop I have seen other 3d capable devices and was not impressed.

The performance running Batman Arkham Asylum and Portal 2 in stereo 3d is great for a laptop... the sound system is very good- not just for a laptop (though it can't touch my Klipsch Promedia 4.1 system).

Screen is beautiful, 1080p @ 120hz, this machine can give many desktops a run for their money(I got this on sale for $1299).

3d

With the 3D glasses, I have been able to play Diablo 3 IN ACTUAL 3D!! Movies . . . IN 3D!! iTunes menus, certain websites, online gaming, games from disc . . . . IN 3D!! And with the convenient on/off 3D button above the keyboard, I can easily turn the 3D off if I want to play or watch something in it's normal format.

My understanding is that you can take any 3D graphics game, and NVidia 3D display driver will create the two views needed for stereoscopic 3D effects.

I could never get standard blurays to play in 3D but I'm sure you can find software that will do it.

Battery

I thought maybe it might be because the battery needs to be reset so I let it sit there for a while and I took the battery out and then put it back and allowed it to chill for a while and after checking to see if it would boot I plugged it in again and allowed it to charge with it off, still same results.

I have the same problem with battery, it does charge fast and after that dies faster.
Toshiba Qosmio X775 3D 17.3", 3.1 GHz, 8 GB, 1,250 GB HDD | Rated 20% by by Tim (Dec, 2011)
The problem started when I took it off the charge after seeing that it was fully charged, I noticed that the juice was draining within minutes and in under ten minutes, it was shutting down on it's own because the battery was dead, I plugged it back in and it was fine, but it was charged within 5 minutes so I took it off the charge again and so it dies again immediately.

With this comparison...

Idealy would buying the more expensive TOSHIBA (X775 3D) just the better bet even though I do not want the 3D features since I have a blue-ray disc player at home? I was thinking that the more...
