Rated 80% by by ggthnx (Jul, 2012)Not as quick as the Solid State drive version I'm sure, and I foresee myself purchasing a Solid State hard drive at some point in the future for this beast, but overall, the performance has been more than acceptable in terms of both data and graphic processing power.

Rated 100% by by J.-Bumphrey (Dec, 2011)This time around when I decided to purchase another laptop I decided to go with something smaller, lighter weight and powerful enough to handle today's games without going too far over the top on the hardware.

G74 Series G74SX by Nythauk (Sep, 2011)Movies play with the fluid flow of a cinema and I connected the laptop to my projector and enjoyed "Armageddon" in 1080p, a most enjoyable and fun experience.
G53 Series G53SX by B.-Zvonetskiy--ZabuzaBZ (Nov, 2011)Screen looks fantastic, 15.6 and 1080p, can't ask for a better option.

G74 Series G74SX by John-Malachowski--Imafoolru12 (Apr, 2012)There are so many positive aspects to this computer and its design, from the cooling system (quite possibly one of the best designs I have ever seen for a laptop) to the rich hardware (16 GB RAM and a solid state drive plus the i7 (which does boost to 3.0 GHz)) all cooperate fantastically together.

G74 Series G74SX by S.-Pellenz--Wonko55 (Dec, 2011)Hence I was looking for a portable computer with at least 16Gb of RAM and a quad-core processor.
G53 Series G53SX by MatthewW (Nov, 2011)Plenty of memory, fas processor and full HD screen are great.

G74 Series G74SX by Peter-PhillipsI was unable to locate a reliable source for a fourth, matching Samsung DIMM so I bought four 4GB DIMMs DDR-1333 DIMMs that Crucial recommends for this system.

3DMark06 CPU
G74 Series G74SX by Braden1996 (Aug, 2011)While the appearances of the Notebook was quite important to me, it did not take precedence over performance; this laptop performs admirably in all applications varying from Games to benchmarks to everything else.
G53 Series G53SX by Mr-Orpheus (Dec, 2011)I don't know about performance as not pushed it at all yet, but from the index score its pretty good, I am mainly using it for graphic's work so its more important to be fast processor and memory than graphics, but I am tempted to buy and try some of the latest games cos this beast is designed for them.

G74 Series G74SX by John-Malachowski--Imafoolru12 (Apr, 2012)~. If you are a gamer, which I am only the casual type (but am considering buying modern warfare 3 seen as I don't doubt this rigs ability to run it), I can tell you that the 3DMark scores (and others) posted by reviews are accurate and my framerate in CS 1.6 at 1920x1080 with light levels of AA and AF will not budge from 100 fps.
