PERFECT for commuters since it is so compact and lightweight, yet big enough to be more comfortable and easy to use than a Netbook...In fact, after using this today, my old HP Mini netbook is going on eBay tomorrow!

Why would anyone pay the money for this, when you can get a system that weights virtually the same, is the same size, but is a full fledged PC with a dual core AMD Brazos chipset, and a full operating system with 1080p output, for the same price?

Nearly instant on (no waiting for Windoze), great screen size -neither too big nor too small- pretty much virus proof (Not even a mac book can make that claim any more) and always up to date with the latest software.
Chromebook AC700 by Perry-Carmichael--pc (Jul, 2011)
However, the screen is big, sharp and clear.

Acer Chromebook AC700

This came with Windows 7 Home Premium, a 320GB hard drive, 2GB DDR3 RAM, and a faster processor than I will ever use for surfing the web (the point of buying a netbook).

Pentium D or dual core, or dirt slow Amd equals... those processors don't cut the mustard in today higher end programs, this thing handles them well.

Upon further research I discovered that my laptop had only come with half the marketed RAM, but after I installed that nothing changed.

Most of all my installed applications are on my large, clunky, laptop that weighs 3x what a Chromebook or tablet weighs but it stays on the desk in my home office and that's where I do heavy duty photo editing, CAD designing, etc..

You can only play back what's supported in the Chrome browser, and naturally there is no optical drive, so no DVDs, no high-def Matroska files, etc..

Setup is a breeze, and it is very simple to use.
