The new XPS comes with the second generation sandy bridge processors from Intel, unfortunately they are only the dual core processors but they are still plenty powerful for most applications.

I have owned an XPS15 (quad core 8gig RAM) 9 months now and I think it's a good laptop with plenty of grunt for all the applicatiosn I use and I run VMWare workstation so can, at times have several virtual devices running at once.

But... received my XPS 15z today and it has faint vertical lines accross the screen - making the image slightly blurry.
