I'd been deciding on a new laptop to replace my very very old Dell Latitude that was running a Pentium M 1.8 Ghz processor and XP Pro.

The only thing wrong with this computer is the processor, it says its the Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor (Quad-Core, 2.2GHz, 6MB Cache), but its actually the one right below it the Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor (Quad-Core, 2.0GHz, 6MB Cache).

The 640 gig HDD is also nice, but even bigger would be better if you are using the computer for Hi-Def video editing.

Further I upgraded to 8 Gig of Ram, and since it's got BlueRay as standard it's a great value / Price.

The only thing I would have liked with this computer is a Blu-Ray player because the display is simply beautiful.

There are plenty of laptops out there for much less (weight and money) that will run a 17" 1920*1080 display at full speed, and they don't look like a disco.
