Do you think the jury made the right decision, was Samsung copying Apple? And what do you think of the bigger issue of patents, is the system broken?

Apple just lost a customer. Yeah, it doesn't matter when there are so many fanboys. Formerly, Apple user, now Windows and Android user. The verdict only tells me that Apple was a$$ company when Jobs was alive and it is STILL the same. The don't want competition. I disagree Samsung stole the technology. I think Apple stole an idea of iPhone from Ericsson !!!

The jury admitted to rushing and not considering important evidence. They awarded Apple money for non-infringing devices. What is to think about? Hopefully the appeals court will overturn some of this, and if not then there goes what little faith I had in the patent and civil justice systems.

I don't think SAMSUNG was copying APPLE at all. It was android that was copying APPLE and SAMSUNG paid the price for it since it was on their phones. Anyways, APPLE isn't the only one suing. SAMSUNG is already planning to add the recently release iPhone 5 to the patent war, BEFORE it was even released to the public. Now THAT is messed up. Not only that, but they're making ads saying how the SIII is better. That's just ridiculous. APPLE makes money by emphasizing the features of their products, not by making ads that say their phone is better. I actually thought their new ad was funny though. They emphasized all the "bad" feautures of the iPhone and didn't even talk about the good ones.

Those who didn't know about the new iPhone 5 surely know it now. NICE strategy. LOL

As for form factor, I have no opinion.

This sort of thing happens often. Companies use patents as money making tools just like the products they produce. Nothing new here...

I think something as simple as form-factor is a difficult thing to enforce.  This case will be in the appelate system for the forseeable future.  As far as the patent system goes, the approval process for new patents definitely needs to be sped up.

Not when the ruling judge comes from Apple's background. I'm not a law patent guru, but it requires no rocket science to overtly see a lot of flaws and prejudice in the judgement. Hope the appeal will overturn some of them.

Hopefully there will be an appeal. Whats with the My Priorities? I own an iphone but I wouldn't choose either as a priority. Whichever company has the goods at the time gets my business and it could change next phone.

If I was outside Apple's office I'd be giving them a big BOOOOO. I have no idea about patents.

"My Priorities" is a misnomer. It's really just Tags. This label will be changing in an upcoming site update.
