I choose Samsung because of the excellent hardware (A Quadcore processor  for me as I live outside the US, excellent camera, removable battery and excellent battery life, 4G).

I have used Motorola droid and I think Moto still needs to work on its UI. Nokia Lumia 920 has a benefit of Windows but small things like a front camera of just  1.3MP, no Radio (also Iphone5) annoy me.

Not to forget that Samsung Galaxy SIII has a cost advantage over Iphone and Nokia Lumia 920's expected price.

The choice is clear - Samsung Galaxy SIII

    1. Beginner I
You forgot the integration of the OS and the simplicity of the phone, which both iphone 5 and lumia 920 beat the Samsung Galaxy S III hands down easily. And "just" 1.3MP? I don't think you'll see that much of a difference in 0.6 MP extra in the Samsung Galaxy S III. Then again, excellent hardware.... The hardware doesn't change anything if the integration is not good enough. Which is exactly why Lumia's and Iphone's "Lower Specs" on sheet can beat SGSIII's Quad core processor, 4G only comes in Dual Core processor, I Guess you forgot that? In the matter of cost, the Samsung beats it on that way, true, but with iPhone and Lumia, you get what you pay for, excellence in integration, smoothness and uncheap chunky material. So I'd recommend the Lumia 920, Better Camera, Better integration, Better performance + Smoothness, More premium feel when you hold it, and better OS.

If your going to decided between the Samsung Galaxy SIII or the Motorola DROID RAZR HD , KEEP THIS IS MIND. Samsung and Motorola release boatloads of new phones each year, so your phone will probably be outdated in a month or so. Also, they don't do a very good job on updating their android OS. Some of their newest phone are still running the "outdate" android OS 4.0, some even 2.3. Apple and Nokia however, release their phones with the consumer in mind so you won't feel outdated. You can also be assured that they'll give you the latest and greatest things on TIME, not months after it was released. For example: Apple updates all it's iOS phones at the same time. They'll tell you straight up if your phone's incompatible or not. They won't give you the "we're working on that" excuse. Usually the 3 newest generation of the iDevices will receive the update.

    Recommendation:

I would usually recommend iPhone over any device, but the Nokia Lumia 920 is just the best phone in the market right now for several reasons:

Windows Phone 8 - Unique and smooth OS, unlike it's android competitors who try to copy the look of the iPhone. Also, the social networks are integrated into the device.

Pureview camera - Just pure awesome-ness. It has Carl Zeiss lens which make it better than other phones. The megapixels only count up to the point where they don't matter at all, so the competitors with 10+ megapixels aren't really better. (Same with how iPhone takes better pictures, it's because of the lens, not the megapixels) Also, it has Optical Image Stabilization, which is exclusive to the Lumia, and takes the BEST pictures in low light.

4.5" PureMotion HD+ display - Has a higher pixel density than the iPhone meaning it looks better, and that's something to note considering that no competitor has been able to match iPhone's retina display for a while

Design - Very modern, and you can choose what color you want.

Wireless charging - self-explanatory...NO MORE WIRES!

AND tons of accessories that not only look good, but are good quality.

In terms of processors and speed, it's, without a doubt, FAST.

It will be a long time before I even think about going back to Motorola.

The iPhone is a no because iTunes for Windows is terrible and people are constantly trying to hack them to do what Android already has built in (e.g. jailbreak). Also, I just don't like Apple.

While I *do* like Microsoft products, Windows Phone 8 just doesn't excite me. It has nowhere near the number of apps that Android or iPhone have.

So, Samsung Galaxy S III it is. I have the Verizon version. Even though Verizon locked the bootloader, we still have a flashable unlocked bootloader available via AdamOutler's secret African-Canadian Sock Monkey source. Samsung's TouchWiz is decently fast and only mildly annoying, so I think it might be worth keeping it stock instead of going through the hassle of unlocking and flashing CyanogenMod (not to forget trying to get rid of that ugly "unlocked" bootloader screen).

In some ways this is a battle of the flagship phones for each of the operating systems. The Galaxy S3 and Motorola's Droid use Android OS versus Apple's iOS and Nokia as the Windows Phone contender. From a software perspective, that brings with it all of the factors related to usability, features, and Apps within each of the different operating systems.

Each of the phones has a similar processing speed and supports 4G networks, and each of the phones also supports NFC, with the exception of the iPhone. The iPhone has the smallest screen but is also marginally thinner than the other phones, with the exception of the Droid.

The Lumia 920 has a slightly higher resolution camera on it, however each phone has a range of interesting and different features on their cameras. The Droid comes out on top with battery power, while the iPhone is the clear laggard in terms of battery. The Galaxy S3 also has the added benefit of having a removable battery.

While similar in a lot of ways, all four phones bring their own unique features into the mix. Personally, i'm liking the looks of the Galaxy S3 and the Lumia 920, but that's just me. What are your thoughts? Which phone are you most interested in and why?

No messing around with carriers (completely unlocked), extremely inexpensive, lightning fast as compared to other Android phones, push updates right from Google and likely the best thing is the notification light. I had an iPhone before my S3 and it was atrocious. For one, they change next to nothing between models and everyone sees an extra half an inch and a shiny (not so) new look and decide that it's the best phone out there. People can be pretty brainless sometimes, so stop and look at the iPhone before just hopping on the bandwagon and thinking that it'll be the best for you. This isn't to say that it's a bad phone. It's great for little kids (if they need a smartphone...) and older people. Just generally people who don't have a great grasp on technology. They're extremely simple. For instance you only have icons on your home screen, where as with an Android phone you can put a nice clock or calendar on there, as well as be able to open up a list of applications. The third party applications are pretty similar between both Android and IOS, with a few that stand out on either side.

The second big reason that the iPhone isn't as great as it seems is when you look at the manufacturing. Everyone sees a nice metal square case and it looks good. (It does, I'll give them that) but think about the glass back of the phone. What possible reason is there to having that there? I think that it's there so that there's more to break when you drop it, like having a second screen on the back. There's no reason for it being there apart for having another thing to replace.

Now a lot of people think that Apple's warranty is an excellent reason to buy an iPhone. And yeah, they do (for the most part) take care of their customers, but that's to be expected when they're charging $800 for a phone that (in terms of specs) is inferior to most other superphones on the market.

So the long and short of it is: if you have an excess of money to dump into a phone and you have no idea how to use said phone, then go with an iPhone. If however, you know just a smidgen bit more about technology, then look into either an Android (I'd recommend the Nexus 4) or a Windows phone. Heck even take a glance at the new Blackberry Z10, it's supposedly quite quick.

I couldn't agreed more but look at it this way, there's alot people who I know that has Samsung Galaxy S3 having a noticeable lags on the latest updates, Nokia Lumia 920 doesn't lag as much so far but that phone provides good liability without any stutters. I love all platforms and I would still choose Windows because of my Xbox, Windows they all have nice synchronizations. I thought I would tell you.

it could have even 100 MP but if the lens and the aperture ain't good there's nothing to do. u just have to know a bit of photography to know that the number of megapixel it's not the important. Anyway, if this isn't enough, take a look at the camera tests

you can prefer iphone, but just for your personal taste! you can't say that it's better beacause apple is apple! apple is apple beacause of the milions of consumers and the fame of iphone... iphone is no doubt a very quality protuct, i own it, but now nokia overtook it...it's amatter of technical specs, nothing to do!
