HTC One S
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 3.5G
- 4.3"
- Dual core 1.5 GHz
Rated 81% by by The Verge (Apr, 2012)I wouldn't say the Beats Audio processing is unpleasant — the popularity of the standalone Beats headphones is based almost exclusively on the modern listener's preference for exaggerated bass — but they just seem to make the music different, not better.

Rated 80% by by TrustedReviews (May, 2012)At just 7.8mm thick, it's the thinnest phone HTC has ever produced and it holds a candle to the best of them in this regard.

One S by GSM Arena (Apr, 2012)While it's still not as good as a hardware one, it's the next best thing - the 4.3" screen has enough real estate for big, well-spaced keys, which are easy to hit.
One S by TrustedReviews (May, 2012)There's still an argument for saying the screen's a little small for using as your primary media player on a long haul flight, for instance, but we happily watched a movie on it.
screen resolution
One S by GSM Arena (Apr, 2012)One S videos retain a very good level of detail, though they have a noticeable yellow tint under artificial light.
One S by TrustedReviews (May, 2012)On a bright day colours are reasonably vivid though shadow detail is lost.

processor
One S by The Verge (Apr, 2012)It almost sounds like the perfect premise for a device that's all style and no substance, but that's not the case with the One S. Sure, on closer inspection that Pentile display can drive you to distraction, but I'm learning to forgive that downside for the rich upside on offer from the dual-core Snapdragon S4, ImageSense camera suite, and Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
One S by GSM Arena (Apr, 2012)As far as raw CPU performance goes, Snapdragon S4 is the king right now - don't fall for the "bigger is always better" trap and think four cores always beat two.

One S by c|net (Apr, 2012)Equipped with dedicated image processor, I can vouch for this phone's impressive 8-megapixel camera.
One S by The Verge (Apr, 2012)There’s also 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, an MHL / Micro USB port, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, 802.11n, Beats Audio integration, an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 lens, 25GB of free Dropbox cloud storage for two years, and a couple of kitchen sinks sourced directly from Peter Chou’s Taipei office suite.

Screen
HTC One S 1.5 GHz | Rated 80% by by A-N (Jan, 2013)As an example, I found the Galaxy S3 screen display MUCH nicer; just that I'd need to supersize my hand to get it to work well for single-handed operations.
HTC One S 1.5 GHz | Rated 100% by by M-Bernardo--M-Bernardo (Jan, 2013)The screen is bright that it's comfortable to use it even in direct sunlight.
HTC One S 1.5 GHz | Rated 81% by by The Verge (Apr, 2012)The "Super" part of the name is what allows HTC to fit all those components behind the screen — it denotes that the touchscreen digitizer and AMOLED panel have been fused into one, which together with the lack of a backlight (unnecessary with self-illuminating OLED displays) makes the screen supremely thin.

HTC One S 1.5 GHz | Rated 80% by by TrustedReviews (May, 2012)We still find it slightly odd that you have both a gmail and an email app but once you've loaded your accounts into the main email app it generally holds up very well.
