There is a pretty big increase in stereo crosstalk when you plug in a pair of headphones, but the good news is none of the other readings are affected.

Pros: great design, solid build, perfect size for me and excellent screen, OS is close to flawless - fast.

Beautiful screen, perfect size bigger than Iphone but not so big it won't fit in your pocket.

Maybe that is because the Z10 tops the other two at 356 pixels per inch (ppi), compared to 306 ppi for the Galaxy S III and 326 ppi for the iPhone 5.

The Z10 packs a respectable 8-megapixel shooter in the back and a 2-megapixel lens up front.

Z10 has an 8-megapixel rear camera; however, the Z10 boasts a 2-megapixel front-facing camera , while the iPhone 5's camera is rated at 1.2 megapixels and the Galaxy S III's at 1.9 megapixels.

Performance Real world tests of BlackBerry Z10

cpu speed

When I have to use my S3, I find it clumsy and slow and I'm not talking processor speed.
BlackBerry Z10 by Daniel-J.-Kinem
It's not so important any more the gigs of ram it has, or whether it's a quad processor or dual.

talk time

Instead of the 13 days standby / 10 hours talk time I get barely 12 hours of standby and half an hour of phone conversation, before the battery is completely drained.
BlackBerry Z10 by Wolfhart-Pohl--Wolf
Okay battery life did greatly improve and I was happy again.

In the most important ways, everything comes together: a lovely HD screen, a fast processor, a camera (with tricks)!

The interface is fast and smooth.-BlackBerry Hub (the integrated message inbox) is outstanding...simple to use, very fast, and efficient.
Rated 100% by by dvpgh (Apr, 2013)
super fast, the gestures are just so brilliant and make me realize how advanced it really is compared to all the other phones in the market.
Rated 100% by by THE-CHENBOT
I was looking for a phone with easy app switching, easy app closure, hard core messaging integration, NFC (just forward thinking really), Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, replaceable battery (they do eventually build memories regardless of what anyone says), upgradeable storage (so I don't have to know what size I will initially need up front), the ability to play my iTunes songs, etc..
Rated 100% by by Daniel-Sheehan (Apr, 2013)

Apps

You'll find Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and all the good stuff when it comes to texting, chatting with other BlackBerry users, and sharing stuff to social networks. There's a good music app, a basic maps app, and the mostly-good Documents To Go, which opens the door to reading, creating, and editing Word and.

MP3 Player, interfaces well with iTunes, and after doing an A/B with my iPad, have to say that it sounds better - more airy highs and solid bass.
BlackBerry Z10 | Rated 100% by by USC-MBA (Apr, 2013)
As much as there is to love (as you've probably already read with the many positive reviews) there's really something that's detrimental to this phone: the app market.

Operating system

Frankly, we don't see any happy Android or iOS users suddenly feeling the urge to jump ship because of the Z10.
BlackBerry Z10 | by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
What can I say after two months or ownership - very good quality, smooth intuitive OS, some really nice features, gestures and the hub is simple efficient communicative perfection.
BlackBerry Z10 | Rated 100% by by jcdammer (Apr, 2013)
For now I believe considering the future direction of modern technologies like good ecosystem, integration, device manufacturers support it is better to buy smartphone based in apple IOS, google android and Microsoft windows 8.
BlackBerry Z10 | Rated 20% by by RDS

Screen

Color saturation is on par with the iPhone 5 screen, sharpness is slightly higher on the Z10 (Z10 has higher pixel density), and the auto brightness is by far better than anything on the market!
BlackBerry Z10 | Rated 100% by by InvalidUsername (Feb, 2013)
Native contrast is excellent, viewing angles are very wide and colors are very lively.

Operating System

The new OS is exciting to say the least - we've been waiting for a well-made gesture-based interface for what feels like ages (MeeGo and WebOS got us worked up, only to disappear soon after).
BlackBerry Z10 | by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
My main issue is internet connectivity over ATT cellular is very spotty on this where as on Android, Windows Phone 8 and IOS worked well in the same area.
BlackBerry Z10 | Rated 60% by by Chad (May, 2013)
It is clearly not an Android and it's clearly not a Apple phone and you realize that as soon as you begin using it.

Keyboard

My full review of the BlackBerry 10 OS goes deep: into the layout, gestures, the Hub, maps, music, the keyboard, the browser...and that's the beginning.
BlackBerry Z10 | Rated 77% by by c|net (Jan, 2013)
BlackBerry has taken care to make the stock keyboard one of the best keyboards around by enabling a ton of advanced features, some of which adapt to you.
BlackBerry Z10 | by GSM Arena (Feb, 2013)
The very good keyboard and fast orthographic corrections are very good and almost always predicting what you will write.
