Android 2.3 Gingerbread 4G
by GSM Arena (May, 2012)It is needless to say by now, that a pair of headphones would have been much appreciated in the box, especially given the solid audio credentials and flagship status of the device.

EVO 4G by matt1229 (Jul, 2011)The phone is perfect in size, the screen is nice and big, and you can set up all you ever need to only be a touch away.
EVO 4G by VeryTechSavy (Apr, 2011)This thing is just too darn big!! The screen size is too big for a mobile device and too small to surf the internet.
screen resolution
EVO 4G by c|net (May, 2010)The display shows vibrant colors and the sharp WVGA 800x480-pixel resolution makes everything look crisp.
EVO 4G by Kameron-Karch (Jul, 2011)It's not as good as the iPhone's Retina display, but it is very close.

EVO 4G by B.-Withey (Apr, 2011)>1ghz processors and multiple cores, the EVO is still nearly as fast as them.
EVO 4G by Melissa-in-Houston (Oct, 2011)Most current smartphones are getting dual core processors and better graphic processors as well.

EVO 4G by Arun-Jeevanand (Mar, 2011)If you love big screen phone with great camera, speed, resolution and everything else.
EVO 4G by JayBen--Kingpen-Of-The-Ink-PenIt has more megapixels for its camera over the epic so i expect it to print some good blow up pictures.
Performance Real world tests of HTC EVO 4G
cpu speed
EVO 4G by Richard-Cabrera (Jun, 2010)but overall I keep the brightness on auto.2 - Battery life for a phone that size, the amount of data it crunches in/out, the speed of the processor, etc, etc..
EVO 4G by rdh1079 (Jun, 2010)until then my 3G seems faster than ever, maybe because the processor on this phone can maximize the speed available on 3G.Wi-fi connections do seem to be weak, though it does connect, and I can surf, so I don't know if the signal is weak, or if it just doesn;t show as many bars as it should, either way, not a big deal to me.
browser benchmark
EVO 4G by The Verge (May, 2012)It's similarly top-notch in Sunspider, a test of browser performance, and in our graphics tests as well.
EVO 4G by Jasper--JC (May, 2011)I was even shocked that this phone has a full browser and can even stream inside of its own browser.
download speed
EVO 4G by G.W. (Apr, 2011)There are times that the phone is actually getting a good connection with 3MB+ speeds, and a device connected to the hotspot still can't get over 1MB download speeds.
talk time
312 min
1,260 min
549 min
EVO 4G by Daniel-Murphy--Dan-Murphy (Jun, 2010)Battery life: I'm guessing 4 hours of continual multi-use, way better than that for talk time only.
EVO 4G by c|net (May, 2010)The HTC Evo 4G ships with a 1,500mAh lithium ion battery, but Sprint did not release its estimates for talk time or standby time.

Battery
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 100% by by Brent-Friar (Oct, 2010)The stock battery is a 1500mAh piece that is decent, but larger would be nicer.
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 60% by by Mark--SorokahdeenWith light data and phone use, I regularly get eighteen hours out of my Evo with a record time of twenty-three and-a-half hours on a single charge; but this happened only after many hours of research, and battery-conditioning voodoo.
Screen
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 100% by by C.-F.-Hill--CFH (Aug, 2010)+ Great Screen; the large screen has an amazingly clear picture and the touch sensitivity is just about perfect for me.
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 100% by by Harkanwar-Anand (Sep, 2011)The phone has a beautiful time display, weather display and quite a sense of humor too.
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 84% by by The Verge (May, 2012)So much screen sucks down a lot of power (more on that below), but it's a worthwhile tradeoff to get such excellent quality.
Network technology
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 100% by by Harkanwar-Anand (Sep, 2011)You may wonder what the purpose of 4G is, so well, although the 4G function is there, this phone is faster than any 3G phones available on the network by a mile (Hero, Moment, Optimus S to name a few).

HTC EVO 4G | Rated 80% by by Ramkumar-Balaraman (Dec, 2010)Since the phone is married to Sprint, I think a few notes about Sprint are warranted as well.
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 20% by by tony5900 (Aug, 2011)The connection speed is excellent and although it cost me $100 to cancel the Sprint contract, I am paying $20 less per month to T-Mobile.

HTC EVO 4G | Rated 100% by by Craig-Robinson (Jul, 2010)The screen is larger, I don't risk dropping calls by holding it in my hand, quick response, great integration with gmail and google voice, and I got to stream the World Cup games with ease.
HTC EVO 4G | Rated 100% by by TTN (May, 2011)I willl never use video chat, I don't have battery problems unless I'm out all day.
