It's not a deal breaker, and the touch screen works well with Windows Phone 7; we just think the experience could have been that much better with a sharper display.

Very solid phone, beautiful and large screen and the feel of the device is very nice in the hands.

As everyone else who purchased this phone, I love the screen size.

I would not go into much details since others have highlighted features here.

Though it didn't improve the sharpness all that much, it did do away with some of the pinkish hue and brightened up the photo overall.

It would have been nice if there had been more hardware upgrades, including the processor and display, but the smartphone was generally responsive during our review period.
HD7 by c|net (Nov, 2010)
That said, it doesn't have the crispness and vibrancy of some of the latest smartphone displays, and in general, we would have liked to see more improvements or upgrades to the HD7 in comparison to its predecessor, the HTC HD2, as the two phones share the same screen, processor, and battery.

We tried emailing a photo from HD7’s camera, but the email app downscaled it before sending – so, emailing full resolution shots is a no go.

Internet Explorer - optimized and is a really good browser now; pinch to zoom and scrolling in internet explorer works perfectly, loading pages is excellent and fast - no real faults at all with the new internet explorer.

The camera performance is noticeably better than the Trophy camera but that’s not saying much.

Overall, the display is bright and clear, showing off 480x800 pixels, but we definitely noticed a difference in quality compared with some of the higher-resolution displays on some of the today's latest smartphones.

Snaps look crisp and detailed, but colour reproduction isn’t wonderful and it has a tendency to burn out highlights when taking pictures outdoors when there’s lots of bright sun light.

The OS however I feel is INCOMPLETE as its touted to have Office Mobile, however has no Task module as did earlier phones with OS from Microsoft.

Everything about it is quick, 22 second startup time, texting directions maps etc.looking forward to windows 8.

This is the best touchscreen I have used, as it is better than either my iPod touch 4G or iPad 2.

Screen

The flash is super bright and definitely a plus addition.

the windows phone is very responsive and the screen is really sensible.
HTC HD7 | Rated 80% by by juvinao (Mar, 2012)
Of course, the whole reason for the HD7's bigger size is the 4.3-inch touch screen.

Operating system

The OS is much better then my previous phones (Nexus one, G1) and the device help the OS to deliver the best user experience i saw on the phone.

Even though Windows Phone 7 is a New Kind on the block, it provides the basic functionally that you expect from a Smartphone, and the experience really shines, apart from the dated App Centric Scheme found in iPhone and Android.

I would love to see navigation software having the look and feel of Bing maps.

Apps

Even 3D games looks pretty impressive thanks to its integrated 3D graphics processor.
HTC HD7 | Rated 70% by by TrustedReviews (Jun, 2011)
HTC does have some very cool free apps also, including Photo Enhancer, Flashlight (which works excellently), and Sleep, which is basically one of those alarm clocks with the soothing sounds.

Type

Windows Phone 7 already offers a pretty great and accurate keyboard, and we had no problems using it on the Samsung Focus and HTC Surround, but we did find we were able to type much faster using the HD7.
HTC HD7 | Rated 80% by by c|net (Nov, 2010)
its one of the most wonderful cell phones that i ever had, its just piece of art, and windows phone 7 is fast and easy plus the games on it is super duper amazing.
HTC HD7 | Rated 100% by by Peter-Bahaa (Feb, 2011)
The HD7, however, holds the distinction of having the largest display of any Windows Phone 7 handset in the U.S., and certainly the extra screen real estate plays well with the platform's multimedia and gaming abilities.

Looking around for a replacement, I found this - I'm not sure quite what the difference is between an HTC HD7 T9292 (as this model is) and a regular HTC HD7, but I haven't found any significant difference yet.
