Thankfully HTC also provides a group of equalizer settings and per CNET headphones editor Justin Yu's suggestion, I tried the Sweetener profile, and found it offered the most balanced audio across all genres to my ears and his.

The HD screen is the best we've ever seen, its quad core processor is mighty fast, its camera mostly impressive and its design is reasonably smart.

While it's still not as good as a hardware one, it's the next best thing - the 4.7" screen has enough real estate for big, well-spaced keys, which are easy to hit.
One X by GSM Arena (Apr, 2012)
Finally, the camera is fast and the big screen makes for easy composition.

Not only is it remarkably sharp (at about 312 ppi, it's virtually impossible to distinguish individual pixels), but also has great contrast and nicely saturated colors.
One X by GSM Arena (Apr, 2012)
The physical details of this phone are exquisite, and it's clear that HTC's designers fussed over each and every one of them at length.

It’s certainly the most powerful, thanks to a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a 4.7-inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel camera with some aggressive specs, and 32GB of storage.
One X by The Verge (Apr, 2012)
The Terga 3 chipset, despite being a quad-core one, is based on the older, Cortex-A9, architecture, so it's not dramatically faster than the latest generation dual-core Krait processors.

Not because it features more megapixels – it's still an 8-megapixel model – but because it has a host of other improvements and a superfast continuous shooting mode.

In terms of quality, it seems consistent with other 8 megapixel cameras from the previous generation.

Great looks, great processor speed and the lazy battery (I need to charge it every night).

Devices that stay perfectly cool are a casualty of the processor war, it seems — moving to smaller transistors helps significantly, but it's always counterbalanced by higher performance.

People complained that they can't replace the battery with the backup battery in daily usage but i must say that there is no difference between carrying a backup battery or external charger.

This screen flirts with perfectionThe One X's display is, without a hint of hyperbole, the best I've ever seen on a phone.

It gets very bright, brighter in fact than the HTC One S' qHD AMOLED screen, and has viewing angles that are nice and wide.

At an angle, brightness drops off but colour accuracy and contrast remain impressive.

Amazing screen, and I am coming from a Motorola Droid Razr which has a very good screen itself.

The photos don't do this phone justice, it is sleek , elegant and manufactured to the highest quality.

The camera is fast as promised though I still feel it takes a little longer to launch than I would have liked it to.

Screen

The screen is amazing, in my opinion even better than the Samsung Galaxy s3's amoled screen.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 100% by by Andres-Pacheco-Lopez (Dec, 2012)
On top of all that, viewing angles are essentially infinite with no shift in colour on contrast as you view it from an angle.

It's fast and the screen is great.

Camera

I compared photo quality (focus, color aberration, etc.) to my excellent 16MP Lumix with a Leica lens and I can hardly tell the difference.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 100% by by Serial-Shopper (Dec, 2012)
Camera: 8 mp but it is okay, i wouldnt say its the best n greatest, but it is just good and clear and best about it is the snap shots, if u wud like to take few pics at few seconds, thats the one.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 80% by by M.-Al-Banna--Lucky (May, 2012)
I really enjoyed using this phone, because of the neat camera and the good performance.

Apps

The Music app itself, though, is great with it integrating other music services into the one interface.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 90% by by TrustedReviews (Sep, 2012)
I'm not saying some users don't appreciate Beats — it definitely makes music more "exciting" sounding — but if you're looking for "authentic" music reproduction, Beats definitely isn't the answer.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 84% by by The Verge (Apr, 2012)
I can get through 2-3 days before charge if I don't use it that much due to its companion core from the NVidia Tegra3 processor that displays really nice graphics and has some games that are specific for Tegra3 from NVidia and its developers.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 100% by by DRVSTECH (Jun, 2012)

Battery

HTC one X is a great device, high performance, great images and videos and good signal reception as well, like the others smartphones the problem is the battery life, but it does its best.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 80% by by FelipeZ (Jul, 2012)
Of course you can buy an extra battery with the S3 and swipe batteries cos the one X has a built in battery which the user can't replace on his own, but again you can buy a charging case for the oneX!
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 100% by by JoHn
The display is amazing, although, it comsumes too much battery.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 80% by by Anderson (Sep, 2012)

Video

1080p videos I shot also were clear and exhibited none of the blocky pixelation I've seen from phones with lower-res camcorders.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 86% by by c|net (May, 2012)
Another one of the One X's handy skills is the ability to record video in up to full 1080p HD quality and grab 8MP stills either while the camera is rolling or when playing back movies later.
HTC One X Quad Core | Rated 86% by by c|net (May, 2012)
Video playback is flawless with the phone able to handle even the highest bit rate videos that some dedicated media players can't handle.

Stick with your HTC X. The Nexus 4 is a nice phone, but there is not enough of a differences between the 2 phones to take a loss on your HTC X.
