It's still faster than 3G, but if you're aspiring to be the fastest draw in the West, you might want to tone down your expectations.

The Galaxy S Blaze 4G is on HSPA+, but it's cheaper, and a great phone to have until LTE is fully up and running, IMO.

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G packs enough functionality to keep every potential Android user, who thinks that a screen over 4" in size is too big happy.
Galaxy S Blaze 4G by GSM Arena (Mar, 2012)
For me, it's the perfect combination of compact size (4.79 x 2.48 inches) with a big screen (4-inch diagonal), a powerful processor (dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 running at 1.5 Ghz), and Android operating system (4.0.4).

Diagonal lines are not quite straight and have lots of jaggies and image sharpness is not the best.

All of these details are fine for demographers, but the most important detail for an actual end-user is that it is compatible with T-Mobile's 42Mbps HSPA+ network.

To that end, the Blaze 4G has a zippy 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor (based on the ARM Cortex-A7, for you processor nerds).
Galaxy S Blaze 4G by c|net (Mar, 2012)
Qualcomm's Snapdragon S3 chipset and its two Scorpion cores, clocked at 1.5GHz are a rather powerful combination in the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and the benchmark scores prove it.

Performance Real world tests of Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

cpu speed

While the upsides of having a powerful CPU, packed into a compact body are more than evident, we can't help but look at the PenTile matrix sporting screen with a dash of suspicion.

Also it has the same processor as the S2.

I believe his unused 100 monthly minute alotment will roll over for month to month, for up to 3 months, so that may give him some extra talk time if he does get chatty in a particular month and its .10/minute after that.
Galaxy S Blaze 4G by D.-Peternel--deepeepee
The Blaze 4G has a 1,750mAh battery that delivers a rated talk time of 7 hours and 9.5 days standby time.

The main bright spot to this skin is the power toggles at the top of the notification drawer for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, sound, and auto-rotate.

The camera software has all the features and effects you'd expect to see on a modern smartphone camera, and it's easy to navigate.

My only complaint is the music playing system - there is no iTunes, and I can't seem to find a music app that is equally as easy to use as iTunes.

BUT super AMOLED's color is very good - nice indeed.

Screen

It is featured in quite a few Samsung devices for a good reason - its contrast ratios and viewing angles are still among the best in the business.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | by GSM Arena (Mar, 2012)
The good news is that colors pop brightly and accurately even at low brightness and also show up relatively well in bright sunlight.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | Rated 68% by by The Verge (Mar, 2012)
The screen is a comely almost-4-inch touch screen (3.97 inches, to be exact) featuring Samsung's terrific Super AMOLED display and a WVGA 480x800-pixel resolution.

Network technology

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G has quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support and tri-band 3G with HSPA+ (42Mbps downlink and 5.76Mbps uplink).
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | by GSM Arena (Mar, 2012)
The Galaxy S Blaze 4G came out about a year ago, but I don't think it'll become dated anytime too soon.

Carrier

A quad-band GSM phone (850/900/1800/1900MHz), the Blaze 4G also supports HSPA+ 42, T-Mobile's fastest-available network, which can theoretically reach download speeds of 42Mbps.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | Rated 80% by by c|net (Mar, 2012)
It's by far the best smart phone I've owned, and I prefer it to all other smart phones compatible with T-Mobile's network.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | Rated 100% by by Basil-Nestor (Nov, 2012)
It's got Samsung's theme on top of Android, and it's accompanied with a lot of T-mobile garbage, some of which seems to be placing widgets on the screens.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | Rated 40% by by R.-McDonald (Jul, 2012)

Camera

Photo color was fair, but unsurprisingly pixelated when viewed on the phone or computer screen-not that I mind the natural air-brushed look when I happen to be the subject of said shot and the camera is held so close to my face.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | Rated 80% by by c|net (Mar, 2012)
Still, if you don't need a new phone this instant, I might recommend waiting to compare the Blaze with the HTC One S-expected to arrive sometime by late spring-which is an Ice Cream Sandwich phone with an 8-megapixel camera and almost no shutter lag.
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G | Rated 80% by by c|net (Mar, 2012)
You won't be shooting any masterpiece short films with this camera, but in good conditions it will hold up well enough for YouTube.

Operating system

It'll be great if it has only Android software.
